Karachi Ki Khoj: [RE]defining the metropolis

Seema Nusrat’s intervention at NED city campus as part of IPAF is part of her continued research on the changing landscape of her home city. The insecurity fed by several decades of unrest has manifested into security infrastructure of several forms, sizes and colours. Once an occasional occurrence, it has become omnipresent at public spaces and institutions of importance. It’s overwhelming presence and permanence often overshadows the very architecture that it evolved around, thus creating a new language.
